The Kazakhstan Resort House Staff Join the “Clean Mountain” Environmental Initiative on Mount Elbrus
Staff from the Kazakhstan Resort House in Yessentuki joined the large-scale «Clean Mountain» environmental festival, held on September 26 and 27 on the slopes of Europe’s highest peak. This year, for the first time, the initiative took place over two days and brought together more than 5,000 volunteers from across Russia.
Together with other participants, the Kazakhstan Resort House team made its way up the slopes of Mount Elbrus — from Azau Glade to Mir Station — while some volunteers reached Garabashi Station at an elevation of 3,847 meters. Each group was accompanied by experienced guides and rescue service personnel. On the second day, participants cleaned eco-trails in the Baksan River valley and the surrounding area of Terskol.
Over the two days, volunteers collected 15 tons of waste — the equivalent of seven full truckloads and one tonne more than last year. All the collected waste was sorted out and sent for recycling.

For the Kazakhstan Resort House team, taking part in the initiative was not only a contribution to preserving the unique natural beauty of the Elbrus region, but also a reflection of the resort’s philosophy, where caring for health goes hand in hand with caring for the environment. Set in a picturesque corner of the Caucasian Mineral Waters region, the resort deeply understands the value of pristine nature for restoring strength and harmony.
The «Clean Mountain» festival has been held since 2018 and, over eight years, has grown from a local cleanup involving 200 people into one of the North Caucasus’s leading environmental events. In 2026, the initiative drew not only families with children, but also corporate teams, with representatives from Rosseti and the Stavropol Territory Association of Tour Guides among the participants.
