Happy World Physiotherapy Day!

September 8 marks the day of one of the oldest branches of health care — physiotherapy.

In the Kazakhstan Sanatorium, we use different methods of physiotherapy: electrophoresis, magnetic therapy, laser therapy, exposure to electrostatic impulses, etc.

Today we want to tell you about Pressotherapy lymphatic drainage. It is a type of hardware massage which is carried out with the Pulstar PSX device by the STARVAC French company.

Pressotherapy lymphatic drainage was originally created for the varicose veins treatment. The therapy involves putting special cuffs on the patient and air is pumped in them to create pressure and stimulate the flow of lymph and blood.

Pressotherapy lymphatic drainage is an effective treatment for the following:

  • Varicose veins,
  • Swelling, pain and heaviness in the legs,
  • Vegetative-vascular dystonia,
  • Nervous system diseases,
  • Muscle spasms.

A session lasts 30 minutes. The course of the treatment is as prescribed by the doctor.

This procedure, like most other medical services, has contraindications, and can only be prescribed after prior consultation with your doctor.
