With a legacy spanning more than 3,000 years, Nauryz stands as one of the world’s most ancient and cherished traditions. The name Nauryz carries a beautiful and symbolic meaning, rooted in the ancient Persian words “nau”(new) and “ryz” (day). It is a literal celebration of a “New Day” and the fresh start that spring brings. The origins of Nauryz are woven from a deep and diverse history. Born in ancient Persia, the holiday has evolved over millennia, blending elements of Zoroastrianism with nomadic Turkic traditions and other unique cultural influences.
