City Day of Yessentuki – August 27
In the last days of summer the resort will be the first city among other cities in the Caucasus Mineralnye Vody to celebrate its birthday. Show programs full of music, light, fire and water will be performed for the residents and vacationers of the city to celebrate its 197th birthday.
On August 20, Neptune himself will be the guest of the festive marathon whose temporary residence will be located on the Yessentuki city lake. He will hold a unique cover bands festival of Southern Russia as well as fireworks show expressing its love for Yessentuki.
On August 26, “Hospitable Caucasus”, a festival featuring a singer and composer Eldar Dalgatov, will show that people living in Caucasus can celebrate birthdays loud and happily as a big, multinational family.
The last Saturday of summer will be remembered for a big birthday celebration. Since morning thousands of people will honor the health resort at twelve locations of the city. Bicycle flash mob will be devoted to healthy lifestyle as Yessentuki has won the status of the sports capital of the region in recent years. “Planet of childhood under the sign of Kindness” will gather children of the resort in two public gardens of the city – Zolotushka and Priozernoe – “green areas” established due to the program of comfortable urban environment development.
On this very Saturday, the traditional procession of the Cross will consecrate Yessentuki healing waters, for which hundreds of thousands of vacationers come every year. One of the innovations of 2022 will be free holiday tours, revealing the mysteries of the most famous places of the resort. Art parades, DJ shows, autostops, creative “postcards” will precede the grand concert devoted to the City Day at the Theater Square. At 19:00 dozens of thousands of guests of the festival will say simultaneously “I love you, my Yessentuki!”
Sochi cover band “Bombay” and Yulianna Karaulova, pop singer, finalist of “Star Factory-5” known for such hits as “You’re not like that” and “Wild Cougar”, will congratulate the city together with its citizens.
At 22:00 fireworks will light the sky of the resort marking the start of Yessentuki’s another year of life!
