International Day of Older Persons is celebrated on October 1st

The Day of the Elderly is observed on the first day of the golden autumn month. It’s an interesting fact that according to the World Health Organization the human age is classified into the following categories:

  • Young age is up to 44
  • Middle age is 45-59
  • Elderly age is 60-74
  • Senile age is 75-89
  • Long-livers are 90-100 and after

This date was originally chosen to remind the youth of those who need their attention and care, understanding and respect, kindness and affection. And it was symbolic to celebrate this holiday in autumn.

This day it would be great to put things off and visit or call your grandmothers and grandfathers, mothers and fathers to tell them once again that you love them, share your successes and latest news. Tell them how much they mean to your family, society, make them happy.

We should take care of older generation not only on holidays, that’s for sure. We talk not only about physical care — helping with shopping at stores, cleaning of premises, working in the garden. Sharing your emotions and worries is also important — so often a person just needs to talk about what is on his/her mind, get a hug, hear the words of support and encouragement, share your common memories.

Autumn is a perfect season to find time to take good care of yourself and your loved ones. The golden season is coming to the country’s resort areas: many people plan their health-resort treatment during autumn. It’s a great opportunity to relax and improve health of the whole family, including your elderly relatives.

Don’t worry if you are busy and have no opportunity to be with your dear people during their health-resort treatment. The Kazakhstan Sanatorium has a huge experience in treating patients of older generation. Each member of our staff is ready to support and take care of all patients. Our medical personnel (doctors and nurses) takes care of health and well-being of our patients at each stage of their treatment. All blocks of the Kazakhstan Sanatorium are connected by warm passages to make their stay comfortable. This minimizes the impact of natural factors on the body after procedures. The treatment process is organized in such a way that patients do not have to spend time in queues.

We can say with certainty that a Health resort voucher to the Kazakhstan Sanatorium which you’ve given to your parents is an ideal present that will give them warm, fond and unforgettable memories.
