Sanatorium “Kazakhstan” introduced a new method of treatment of the most frequent joint disease – osteoarthritis.
Osteoarthritis is the most common disease among musculoskeletal diseases.
The sanatorium is constantly searching for new and effective methods of treatment. The last of the methods is the restorative treatment of patients with osteoarthritis using sulfide baths and peloidotherapy.
Proposed method of treatment includes sanatorium-resort regimen, diet, therapeutic massage, therapeutic physical training, drinking mineral water of low mineralization “Essentuki-Novaya,” carbon dioxide-hydrogen sulfide baths and sulphide mud applications on affected joints. The effectiveness of combination therapy is to cancel drugs or reduce their dose.
Results of health treatment indicate sufficient resistance of therapeutic effect, reduction of pain syndrome and improvement of functional capabilities of musculoskeletal system. All this contributes to improving the quality of life and preserving professional opportunities.
