Speleotherapy in the Kazakhstan Sanatorium

“As if you’ve been to the sea” are the thoughts of our guests and experts who describe the effect of a visit to a speleological chamber.

During the therapy session, you are in a room that recreates the microclimate of a natural salt cave. For this purpose, the floor and walls of the room are lined with special pressed salt blocks made from Sakskaya salt from the Black Sea.

The core of the speleological chamber is the salt halogenator. It conveys into the room a stream of purified air, saturated with highly dispersed salt aerosol particles.

Sterile and bactericidal air is effective in treating asthma, allergic and chronic bronchitis, various allergies, including house dust and acute seasonal allergies. Certain skin conditions such as neurodermatitis, eczema and psoriasis are also indications for speleotherapy. Air with increased ionization has a beneficial effect on the immune system and the body’s protective system as a whole.
