The best methods of resort medicine are used in the Kazakhstan Sanatorium. Thermal mud treatment (peloid therapy) is one of them. It is the procedure using highly mineralized sulfide silt mud from Lake Tambukan.
Mud from Lake Tambukan is similar in composition to the mud of the Dead Sea, but surpasses it in content of organic substances: it has antiseptic properties, it stimulates regenerative processes of your skin, improves the musculoskeletal system. This mud is used in gynecology, urology and cosmetology. Diseases of the digestive and nervous systems, respiratory organs are also indications for mud treatment.
The Kazakhstan Sanatorium has its own mud storage facility with a capacity of 40 tons which preserves the natural properties of the mud from the time of extraction until its use in therapeutic procedures. The mud is fed automatically from this storage facility through a pipeline to each couch in the mud room.
Mud procedures in our Sanatorium are included in all types of vouchers, moreover, they are available to outpatients.
