The riot of bright colours of autumn nature won’t leave anyone indifferent. You want to slow down, to stop, to feel the surrounding splendour more subtly and deeply.

Tourist trail in Kislovodsk
If you walk from the «Dolina Roz» in Kislovodsk Park towards the «Krasnoye Solnyshko» Mountain, you can see a turn with a sign to the hiking trail, which is popularly known as the «Kosygin Trail». Because this is where Kosygin, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, liked to walk.
And for good reason. From here you can see the magnificent panoramas of the city and its surroundings as well as the two-headed beauty Elbrus spreading out before you. Overhanging cliffs, grottoes and caves create a sense of mystery and delight. In the grotto of Hole Rocks, the bas-relief of the Master of the Mountains is fascinating.
Once you reach the viewing deck, you can sit on a bench and admire the open spaces. Who does not feel tired, goes up, conquer the «Maloye Sedlo» mountain. Whoever has had enough of the experience goes back to the city.
Nature Trails of Zheleznovodsk
Fans of hours-long walks will gladly agree to climb the «Razvalka» Mountain in Zheleznovodsk, exploring local sights along the way. Only here you can visit the cave of ancient man, solve the riddle of the cave of «summer permafrost», drink pure water from springs, climb the remains of the ancient walls of the Alan settlement.
The viewing deck, as is the case everywhere, will offer amazing views to those whose journey is measured in thousands of steps.
Gate of Love in Pyatigorsk
It is better to come to the Gate of Love in Pyatigorsk at sunset. It is only a few minutes away from the Emmanuel Park. The arch of the Gate opens up to a marvellous view of the sunset horizon, which is why it is also known as the Sun Gate.
In clear weather from here you can see the laccoliths of the Caucasus mountain range and take photos against the background of Elbrus. From this place you can clearly see: the city, the Mashuk, Beshtau, Yutsa and Dzhutsa mountains, which look especially picturesque in autumn.
