International Nurses Day
International Nurses Day is celebrated on May 12. This holiday is a wonderful reason to thank and congratulate representatives of one of the most humane professions.
Nurses make up the largest part of our sanatorium’s staff. Iuliia Nikolaevna Platonova, the head nurse with 30 years of professional experience, has been leading the team of about fifty professionals in their field for 11 years. Iuliia Nikolaevna was given the honorary award of the Medical Centre of President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan for her contribution to the activities of the health resort. She is always trying to be the example for her charges, emphasizing the importance of their daily work:
— As difficult as our profession is, it is needed. If you become a nurse for big money, it’s not your profession. You choose this profession to benefit a person and improve his/her health condition. A nurse bears a great responsibility — even a simple inhalation session can harm a patient if it’s done incorrectly. You can be sure that our medical specialists are highly professional because they are constantly improving their skills and know their job. The main evaluation of our work is when guests say that they come to the sanatorium as if to their own home.
A lot of our guests come to the Kazakhstan Sanatorium not for the first time. Iuliia Nikolaevna often communicates with our guests and she knows that they come back to a place where they feel cared for and treated kindly by all the staff — nurses, administrators, maids, waiters.
Iuliia Nikolaevna Platonova:
«I wish the nurses who work in the sanatorium-resort sphere to always be on top, friendly, smiling. I wish us to live happily, thus, we come to work with joy. Let work be our second home, where we want to come back!».
