What to do on a day without treatment in the Sanatorium?
Here are the 3 options we would totally recommend.
The first option is «Light»
Suitable for a quiet and measured pastime. A leisurely 770 meter walk along a terrenekur on the territory of the Sanatorium. After that, we suggest peeking into the library, where you will surely find some literature to your liking.
You can try out playing board games (checkers, chess), or table tennis. Often on weekends there is a screening of feature films in the cinema hall, where you can sit comfortably to watch them.
In the evening you can visit a concert in the Chaliapin Hall. It may feature a symphony orchestra, or be an evening of instrumental music, as well as a performance of some famous artist.
On this day, allow yourself to relax a little and refresh your mind and body.
Even a trip to the nearest cities can turn into an excellent mini-vacation: you can reach Kislovodsk, Pyatigorsk, Zheleznovodsk both by road and by rail.
In each of these cities there are picturesque places that are definitely worth seeing!
Such trips can be planned independently, at a time convenient for you, using navigators and audio-guides.
The third option is «Active +»
For those who are ready for moderate physical exertion, active hiking and pleasant fatigue by the evening of the weekend. We recommend going on long guided tours that usually include a bus ride, observing beautiful nature while hiking, gastronomic stops, and local markets with souvenirs.
It will be great if you can combine several beautiful places in one day.
In case you choose the most active option, it is necessary to inform the staff of the Sanatorium canteen two days in advance, so that they could prepare an MRE for you.
At the same time, a free day does not mean you should skip taking mineral water prescribed by your doctor.
