The Sanatorium’s nutritionist: the key to a healthy lifestyle and improved well-being

An important event took place at the Kazakhstan Sanatorium! Aida Bagatyrova, who has been working in the Kazakhstan Sanatorium as a therapist for a long time, completed an additional training course and became a certified nutritionist. She will now provide not only therapeutic care for our guests but also help regarding nutrition and healthy living.

Aida Gasanbekovna told about why she chose dietetics. She thinks that chronic non-communicable diseases are common in today’s world, but they are the ones that can be easily prevented by changing the type of diet and habits. She emphasized that both fields of medicine – therapy and dietetics – complement each other and help her gain a deeper understanding of healthy and balanced diet of a person.

Bagatyrova also noted that the Sanatorium conducts bioelectrical impedance analysis using a modern device MS PRO, which allows you to assess the amount of fat, fluid, muscle mass and other indicators. These data are used to make nutritional recommendations for patients.

The nutritionist emphasized that the work in the Sanatorium includes both consultative and practical parts: control of the sanitary condition of the kitchen and canteen premises, tasting cooked dishes, making necessary changes in the menu.

She also shared some recommendations for our Sanatorium’s guests: don’t follow a strict diet, don’t keep your body within the bounds and don’t try to lose weight in a short period of time. Long-term results can be achieved at any age and maintained due to diet, regimen and training.

Aida Bagatyrova emphasized that the most important thing for her is to see the result of her work. It’s important for her to see that her patients’ health improves, blood pressure and biochemical parameters are normalized, body weight is successfully reduced and these results are not changing.
