The sights that we recommend you to visit can be explored during a walk around the Resort Park.
Resort Park
The history of the Park began in 1847, when Count Vorontsov, governor of the Caucasus, decided to green the Yessentuki resort. There are Terrainkurs for therapeutic walking, mineral spring galleries, historic buildings, cascade stairs, decorative grottoes, sculptures, fountains, openwork gazebos, plants and shrubs from all over the world.
Spring Drinking Gallery No. 17
It was built in 1852 by the architect Upton. The building’s south-facing facade is decorated with arcades with Moorish motifs, fashionable at that time. Not far from the gallery there is the «Rococo» openwork musical gazebo, which used to host concerts for vacationers.
Semashko Mud Baths
Europe’s largest mud baths are considered most beautiful buildings in the Caucasus Mineralnye Vody. Since 1915, they have been providing thermal mud treatment procedures that have restored health to millions of people.
Upper Nicholas baths
Named after the Russian Emperor Nicholas II, the mineral baths are an architectural monument of federal importance. Balneotherapy treatments using mineral water are still available here. The bathtubs themselves in the cabins are made from solid pieces of Italian marble.
