Aida Bagatyrova: development is the key to success of a young doctor

Aida Bagatyrova is the youngest doctor in the Kazakhstan Sanatorium of the Medical Centre of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of Yessentuki, who

has already been loved by guests and colleagues. The 28-year-old therapist is an example of a responsible attitude to work, fast professional growth and great dedication to her favourite job.

“It is a good sign if young specialists come to work in the Sanatorium. It means that the progress in the health resort does not stand still, they apply modern approach to treatment, a fresh look at medicine as well as new knowledge. I can definitely recommend such a Sanatorium”, – shares one of the guests of the Kazakhstan Sanatorium.

That’s right: doctors who have been working in the Sanatorium for 5, 10 and even 15 years, act as mentors and pass on their experience to young specialists. People like Aida Bagatyrova, in their turn, charge with their positive energy, thirst for new knowledge and desire for continuous development.

Aida came to medicine not by chance: her favourite subject at school was Chemistry, and her mother (nurse) set an example of professionalism and sensitive attitude to patients. Graduated from one of the best medical institutes in Russia, the doctor gained invaluable experience working with seriously ill patients in a military hospital. It is amazing how for several years the young doctor balanced her residency studies, medical practice and raising two children!

Aida came to the Kazakhstan Sanatorium next to her husband, Gadzhimurad Bagatyrov, who has been working here as a dentist since the family moved to the city of Yessentuki. Thus, a new family dynasty of doctors was born in the Sanatorium.

– I had never been to a Sanatorium before and wondered why would you need a therapist on holiday? It turned out that for guests, it is the most important doctor who collects anamnesis and prescribes treatment and procedures. Just like The Sorting Hat in Harry Potter!

Aida considers the main advantage of working in a Sanatorium compared to a polyclinic to be the opportunity to pay more attention to patients and monitor the dynamics of recovery. Given the specialisation of the health resort on gastrointestinal and metabolic diseases, the therapist deeply studies gastroenterology and dietetics in order to be even more helpful for the guests of the Sanatorium. She also actively studies best foreign practices, reads different research in English and shares her findings with colleagues.
