World Cancer Day

World Cancer Day is marked annually on February 4. It was created by the International Union for International Cancer Control with the aim of drawing world’s attention to this global problem.
Every year, World Cancer Day has its own theme. In 2020, this day is held under the slogan ‘I Am and I Will’.
Cancer is a generic term for more than 100 diseases that can affect any part of the body. Sometimes, terms such as malignant tumors or neoplasms are also used to refer to these diseases.
According to oncologists, at the initial stage, almost all tumors can be treated, and in 99 % of cases they can be treated surgically. That’s why it’s so important to have regular checkups and consult with an oncologist.
